Vote By Mail

This year it is easier than ever to vote at home by convenient mail ballot. Voting by mail avoids the long lines at polling places that are expected to result from the implementation of Prop. 200. It also gives you some time to think before you vote! This year in the General Election, we expect to have almost 20 state initiatives to consider. Some like Proposition 202, Raise the Minimum Wage will be well publicized. Others like Propostion 300 were introduced by the Rebublican legislature. Proposition 300 denys access to all public programs and schools to undocumented residents.

All voters must apply for a vote by mail ballot. Voters who have previously voted by mail wil NOT be automatically mailed a ballot. To get your ballot, you must apply by September 1st for the Primary Election and by October 27th for the General Election. If you apply for a VBM ballot for the Primary Election, be sure to check the box to get one for the General Election as well, assuming this is your intention.

There are three easy ways to get a VBM ballot.

1. Apply on-line with the Pinal County Elections Department for a VBM ballot.
2. Call the Pinal Co Elections Department at (520) 866-7550.
3. Send us an email at Webmaster@saddlebrookedemocrats.org and we’ll get you an application!

Special Note If You Intend To Vote At the Polls

There are special requirements for identification at the voting polls. Be aware that if a person does not have the appropriate identification, she or he may lose their right to vote in the election.  But please remember that you always have the right to file a provisional ballot.  If you do so, you may need to provide the County Recorder with additional information within a few days following the election.  SaddleBrooke residents vote at the Mountainview Clubhouse.

You must either have one photo ID card from List A or you will need two non-photo ID cards or evidence from List B. Naturally you must already be properly registered to vote. Bringing your voter registration card is a wise precaution.

List A One Form of Photo ID Required

• Valid AZ driver license or non-operating identification
• Tribal enrollment card or other form of tribal identification
• Valid United States federal, state, or local government issued photo identification showing your residence address

List B Two Forms of Photo ID or Evidence Required

• Utility bill of the Elector that is dated within 90 days of the date of the election. A utility bill may be for electric, gas, water, solid waste, sewer, telephone, cellular phone, or cable television.
• Bank or credit union statement that is dated within 90 days of the election
• Valid Arizona Vehicle Registration
• Indian census card
• Vehicle insurance card
• Valid United States Federal, State or local government issued identification without photo
• Voter Registration Card / Recorder’s Certification
• Any “Official Election Material” mailing bearing your name and address
