Volunteer

SaddleBrooke Democrats are always looking for a few good people. Volunteers are needed for club offices and committees, precinct committee persons, party hosts and party guests(!), specialists in publicity, website maintenance, program speaker recruiters, and a host of other functions. On this page we list some open opportunities together with contact information.

SaddleBrooke Clean-Up Mile

Looking for fun and adventure? Please volunteer to help the SaddleBrooke Democratic Club keep its mile of roadway clean! Since 2003, as part of the state’s Adopt-a-Highway program, we pick up trash along the road to Florence between mileposts 99 and 100. Pick-ups take place four times a year. Each pick-up lasts a few hours during the morning. It’s a good opportunity to perform some useful work and enjoy beautiful scenery.

Contact coordinator Norm Schickedanz. Send him an email at CleanUP@saddlebrookedemocrats.org for more details.

Precinct Committee

For more information on the SaddleBrooke Democratic Precinct Committee, go to Precinct Committee.  We currently have openings in Precinct 8, but if you live in Precinct 15, we still urge you to fill out the forms and join in. Next September, as part of the Democratic Primary, we will hold an election for PCs in SaddleBrooke. Those elected will be official members of the Pinal County Democrats, eligible to vote and participate in state and county politics.

Pinal County Democrats

Like us, the county party is constantly looking for people who feel energetic and want to push back in ‘06. See the information posted under Pinal County Democrats. Click here to transfer to that page within this website. Right now, we especially need people who can help us organize events. As the elections approach, we need to have candidate parties, mailing campaigns, door-to-door canvassing parties, voter registration events and a list of other events. All these need people who can help us organize. To become a County Volunteer or Supporter, click here to email Joe Robison, Pinal County Chair PinalChair@saddlebrookedemocrats.org

Voter Registration

Once or twice a month, we hold voter registration events for four hours.  Jan. 26, for example, we took a booth to San Manuel and registered new voters, including one Republican lady who switched to Democrat!  We also collected almost 70 signatures for the minimum wage petition.  If this volunteer opportunity appeals to you, send an email to Webmaster@saddlebrookedemocrats.org to learn more.
