On Jan 30th, Patty Weiss’s campaign made a “Whistle Stop” through Congressional District 8 conducting a series of press conferences from SaddleBrook to Bisbee.  She officially started the campaign here in SaddleBrooke with a small coffee meeting 8am with representatives of the SaddleBrooke Democratic Club.  We wish her well in a crowded field.  So far we have nine Democratic candidates announced for the race.  With Patty’s history as a news caster here in Tucson, she is expected to be one of the frontrunners.  Click Here to visit Patty Weiss’ website. Patty will be speaking to the club at the March meeting.  In addition, at that time we hope to have Gabrielle Giffords and perhaps one more candidate.  In time we will hear from all of the frontrunners.  The CD #8 race this year is profiled as one of the most important congressional races in the county.  Please remember that the club makes no endorsments before September.  Our posture as a club is to welcome all Democrats.
