Welcome to our New Website!
Welcome! Welcome! You have arrived to the home page of our new Saddlebrooke Democratic Club website. Please excuse our dust. Much of the site has not yet been completed. But we elected to build the site "live" so as to share the excitement.
As you can see, there are quite a few links to other pages connected to this site. Some of these are only web pages in name only, containing only of brief description of coming attractions.
The Saddlebrooke Democratic Club (SDC) is one of the fastest growing political organizations in southern Arizona. Approaching two hundred active dues-paying members, we mean to be a loud voice for fair minded thinking and caring about people and government. The time has come to push back against racism, greed and corruption.
At Gettysburg, Lincoln said that government is "of the people, by the people and for the people." Words like "corporations" and "no-bid contract" did not appear in his speech nor in the founding documents of our country. Unlike others, we Democrats believe that "all people created equal" and that everyone is entitled to equal treatment and protection under American justice.
Well, you get the idea! As a club, we meet monthly to hear speakers and hold political discussions. Most meetings include a pot luck supper. Three or four times a year, we get together for purely social occassions. Don’t miss our Harvest Dinner Dance to be held November 5th at the Mounainview Clubhouse. We have active volunteers conducting voter registration drives, teams for phone-banking and precinct work, letter writting and other forms of political activism. We even have a group conducting road clean-up on a section of Highway 79 to Florence. Enjoy our website. Plan to visit often and be sure to look at our activity calendar. We expect to see you soon!
