Australian Torture Victim Speaks Out

Mr. Mamdouh Habib an Australian citizen was kidnapped apparently by the CIA and held for four years in Pakistan, Afganistan, Guantanamo Bay and Egypt.  He was repeatedly tortured during the period and was forced bo make a number of confessions which he has now recanted.  "I just repeated what they wanted me to say" he explains.

Mr. Habib was finally released without charge in January 2006 after a request by his government.  Click here to read his story on the BBC World Service.
